1960 Chevrolet Brookwood

The 1960 Chevrolet Brookwood was a full-sized station wagon manufactured by Chevrolet from 1958 to 1961. The Brookwood was the lowest-priced of all Chevrolet’s full-sized wagons. The 1960 model was produced following a complete redesign for the 1959 model year. It had a sleeker, more modern look with a longer hood and shorter deck.

The 1960 Chevrolet Brookwood was available with three engine options: a 235 cubic inch inline six-cylinder engine, a 283 cubic inch V8 engine, and a 348 cubic inch V8 engine. The 235 and 283 engines were available with a 3-speed manual or a 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission, while the 348 engine was only available with a 4-speed manual or a 3-speed Turboglide automatic transmission.

The interior of the Brookwood was spacious and comfortable. It could seat up to 9 passengers with the addition of the optional third-row seat. Standard features included a heater and defroster, an electric clock, and a two-spoke steering wheel. Optional features included power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning.

The 1960 Chevrolet Brookwood was a popular family car of its time, with a total of 23,913 units produced. Today, it is a rare and sought-after classic car that is prized for its sleek style and spacious interior.
