New Tactical Training Center Opens in the Bronx, Marking Major Leap in NYPD Preparedness

BRONX, NY — A new chapter in officer training and public safety began yesterday with the official dedication of the state-of-the-art Tactical Training Center at Rodman’s Neck. The facility, built through strong collaboration between city agencies and partner organizations, is set to significantly enhance the NYPD’s ability to prepare officers for the increasingly complex challenges of modern policing.

City officials emphasized that the center will improve not only the effectiveness of police training but also safety for both the public and law enforcement officers.

The project became a reality thanks to the support of the New York City Police Foundation, its donors, and key partners including the New York Army National Guard and NY/NJ HIDTA. Together, these groups aim to push forward innovation, excellence, and leadership in policing.
